Additional Terms and Conditions of Rental Agreement In this agreement, the customer means both the renter and the additional driver(s) as listed on the rental agreement.

1. Vehicle is the property of Discount and is in good condition. Customer will return vehicle, together with all tires and equipment in the same condition, to the location and on the due back date specified or sooner upon demand by Discount. No express or implied warranty is made as to the road-worthiness of the vehicle and equipment or fitness for any purpose.
2. Customer will reimburse Discount for all loss or damage to the vehicle (regardless of fault), but if customer pays for collision damage waiver (C.D.W.), such liability shall not exceed amount shown under collision damage waiver (C.D.W.) as stated on front hereof unless vehicle was used or driven in violation of any terms and conditions. Notwithstanding that the customer accepts C.D.W. Coverage, this coverage will be deleted from the contract from the date the customer provides evidence to Discount that the renter has valid collision coverage under some other policy of insurance that is acceptable to Discount.
3. The vehicle may not be used (prohibited use):
   1. by any person not listed on the rental agreement;
   2. to transport people or property for hire, or to propel or tow anything;
   3. in any race, speed-test, contest, or in a reckless, abnormal, or abusive manner;
   4. by anyone under the influence of alcohol or other intoxicants, such as drugs; or by anyone driving in a state of drowsiness;
   5. by any person who has given false name, age, address or other false or misleading information;
   6. for any illegal purpose such as illegal transportation of persons, drugs, or contraband;
   7. to transport explosive or radioactive materials.
   Customer agrees that if the vehicle is obtained through misrepresentation or used for purposes contrary to the agreement herein, it shall be conclusively deemed that use or possession of the vehicle is without the permission of Discount and in breach of this agreement.
4. If any of the terms and conditions are violated by the customer or authorized driver, the collision damage waiver (C.D.W), Discount deductible coverage (D.D.C) and practical assistance package (P.A.P) where applicable will not apply and the customer and driver shall be liable and reimburse Discount for all loss or damage of whatsoever kind or nature.
5. If any of the terms and conditions of this agreement are violated by the customer or an authorized driver, Discount’s liability for any claims against Discount of any nature whatsoever by the customer, authorized driver or any third party shall be limited to the lessor of: (a) the minimum statutory limit imposed by the relevant Canadian province and/or State; and (b) any damages imposed by law.
6. Customer agrees to be personally responsible for all losses or damages as a result of allowing an unauthorized person to operate or be in possession of the vehicle. All authorized drivers must be at least 21 years of age, be properly licensed for the vehicle, and have a minimum of 24 (twenty-four) months of driving experience, unless otherwise consented to in writing by Discount.
7. Anyone authorized by this agreement to operate the vehicle is subject to all terms and conditions and exclusions insured under an automobile liability insurance policy issued to Discount.
8. CUSTOMER expressly agrees to pay Discount on demand:
   1. all time and kilometre charges, service and other charges at rates shown;
   2. if customer has directed the billing for charges to a third party and upon being billed the third party shall fail to make full payment;
   3. 2% per month (24% per year) charge on overdue accounts (invoice payable upon receipt);
   4. all expenses incurred in the collection of monies due per this agreement, or in regaining possession of vehicle or in enforcing any term or condition of this agreement including lawyer fees and court costs;
   5. a charge of two hundred dollars ($200.00) or one dollar ($1.00) per kilometre, whichever is greater, will be applied to vehicles that are returned to a location other than the original rental office. Calculation is based on distance between pick-up and drop-off location.
   6. all charges, fines, penalties and forfeitures including parking and traffic violations and road tolls from the time the vehicle leaves Discount’s control until it is returned to Discount plus the Discount administrative charge, and any lawyer fees and costs;
   7. loss of use of the vehicle calculated, as the number of days required to repair, replace or recover the vehicle multiplied by the daily rate and applicable taxes for that vehicle.
9. If the customer uses a credit card to pay for charges, including parking and traffic violations, Discount is authorized to reserve credit with the card issuer in an amount equal to all estimated charges and to process an appropriate voucher for those charges.
10. Customer or any driver of vehicle shall not be deemed to be the agent, servant or employee of Discount for any purpose whatsoever.
11. No right of Discount under this agreement may be waived or modified, except in writing, by an officer of the operating company.
12. Discount is not responsible for any damage to or loss of customer’s or anyone else’s property left in the vehicle or in any other vehicle on Discount premises.
13. Customer grants Discount a limited power of attorney to present insurance claims for property damage to the customer’s insurance company, if the rented vehicle is damage during the course of this agreement, and to endorse customer’s name on insurance payments for rental charges or damages.
14. The price quoted is only valid for the original period of the rental. Any modifications or changes to the date in and/or date out may result in a rate change.
15. Where an English and French version of this agreement have been provided, the English version shall govern.

Reservation Confirmation – Terms and Conditions The price quoted is only valid for the original period of the rental. A valid Credit Card in the driver's name with an available minimum balance of $500 or more is required when picking up the vehicle. All rentals are subject to a minimum $500 credit card preauthorization and/or total value of the rental upon arrival at the location. Please check with your rental location for details. Debit Cards or prepaid credit cards are excluded as a form of deposit on all rentals but are acceptable as form of payment. Any and all person(s) renting/operating vehicles from Discount Car & Truck Rentals must provide suitable coverage in accordance with the signed rental agreement while the vehicle is within their personal care and control. Travel outside the country/province may or may not be allowed by Discount Car & Truck Rentals depending on the individual location's policies and availability. All renters traveling from out of province must have and are required to present, two pieces of valid photo identification, one of which must be government issued. Rates and free kms may be affected by traveling outside of the country/province you are renting in. Please confirm with the applicable location directly for all policies regarding such travel. Additional renting requirements may exist depending on where you are reserving your vehicle. Webdiscount promotional weekend rental rates cannot be used in conjunction with any other coupon, promotion or offer including the One, Two, FREE weekend promotion program. Please confirm with the location directly if you have any questions regarding our renting requirements. Secure Server Information Discount Car and Truck Rentals' secure server provided by a Verisign Digital ID, ensures that all sensitive personal information you enter is protected by the strongest encryption available to date. Any Rental rate below $15.00 per day does not qualify for Discount's 1-2 Free Promotion.
