Attraction
Named after Joseph Burr Tyrell, a geologist who discovered the first dinosaur fossil in Red Deer Valley during 1884. The museum has an impressive collection of over 130,000 fossils. Royal Tyrell Museum is the centre of paleontological research.
Park
Hoodoo is a sandstone pillar resting on a thick base of shale that is capped by a large stone. Hoodoos take millions of years to form, so they are fragile and can erode completely if the capstone is dislodged - so no climbing allowed!
